Yesterday I met and chatted with a sister whom I haven't seen for a long time. Although we haven't seen each other for a long time, we still have endless topics to talk about. The furthest distance between people is not the visible "distance", but the furthest distance between people is the "distance of heart"! The "distance between hearts" is the source of conflict between people! There are many times, there are many people, and we are clearly opposite, next to, and neighbors...but we feel quite "far away" from each other!
We were talking about a sister's child at church yesterday! And this sister’s child has grown from being a misfit to being handsome, willing to serve, and his homework has improved by leaps and bounds. These are all God’s grace! Thank God! I have served "single mothers" for a while, and when we see that these children do not corrupt themselves because of family problems, this is the good fruit we bear. I once taught Chinese to children. Many children grew up in China and came to the United States until they were 5-6 years old (they were postal babies). Their inability to adapt to the environment made them unable to get along with school classmates and integrate into American society. These inability to communicate well with classmates also lead to their rebellious and violent behavior. There used to be a kid in a Chinese school who was a bully. Not only did he bully other kids at school, but he also bullied other kids in Chinese school, but he changed later because of Jesus! He is willing to use the love of Jesus to help other children, and when he meets a child who is as bad as him, he will no longer use violence. This is the "fruit of the Holy Spirit" we bear! There are also some children who are unwilling to talk to other children, because they don't know how to talk to other children, they are afraid to contact other children, but then they change! They are willing to interact with other children, this is the "fruit of the Holy Spirit"!
I have believed in the Lord and as a Christian for more than ten years. When I see the changes in these children, I am really grateful to God! Christians will definitely have many sufferings in life, but we will definitely overcome "suffering"! We do not rely on ourselves to overcome "suffering", we overcome "suffering" by: God's promise! The sacrifice of Jesus and the inspiration and support of the Holy Spirit! If we were all on our own, we would never be able to defeat the enemy's rocket barrels! (Isaiah 65:23) They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. ~After becoming a Christian, I did many services, and my wealth really didn't increase, and I used to ask God: Am I working on the air? I feel that everything I do is in vain and in vain. At the moment of serving, I can't see any change. I just feel that I am walking~ so hard! When I think back to the previous scene, and look at the growth of the children now, I am really very grateful to the Lord!
When we are Christians, we should not focus on: "our needs" and "our wants", we should focus on: "God's wants" and "people's needs"! How would God "want" us to go? How to do it? What do people "really need"? Children go astray because of the "deviation" of the environment and education. We can help them change not because we are "excellent", but because we must let them understand the "Truth". When children are cultivated in the "Truth", they will have a different "life"! I really never thank God enough! He is really amazing! We have had a lot of bitterness along the way, but seeing the "fruit of the Holy Spirit" is really worth it all! Thank God! How many children in single-parent families and how many social problems have they caused? How many children from single-parent families ruin their lives? Although, I don’t do much, but at least helping one person’s life change is also a kind of joy! I also hope that each of us Christians can be a blessing to everyone around us! Let's start small!
