Naomi took the widow Ruth back to the land of Canaan, and Obed continued from Boaz! Obed did not continue from Elimelech! Jews can marry if they are close relatives, because Naomi’s two sons are dead! She returned to the land of Canaan with her daughter-in-law Ruth, and Boaz happened to be a close relative of Naomi, so he married Ruth and there was King David. Why is it said that Boaz is the most moral person among the Jews? Ruth was a Moabite girl. Not only did Boaz not bully Ruth, but he also married her to help Elimelech continue his legacy! Elimelech’s son is dead! Elimelech should have no one to inherit the property. Jewish land is inherited, and Jewish land cannot be sold! Ruth and Naomi returned to the land of Canaan. Their life was difficult, and Boaz helped them. Ruth wanted to sleep with Boaz, but Boaz refused. Boaz married Ruth in the most upright and clean way.
