Nationals and Refugees

February 16, 2022

Studied about the book of Ruth yesterday, and the book of Ruth is one of my favorite books!  The book of Ruth is quite interesting! (Ruth 1:1) Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and  his two sons.~Elimelech fled with his wife and two sons. Because of the famine in Israel, they left their homeland and went to the land of Moab! Which got me thinking: Refugees and Immigrants! Why do I keep emphasizing that the Bible has so much precious wisdom that when we read the book of Ruth, we will understand why there are refugees?

Most of the modern "refugees" originated from wars! And Elimelech fled because of the famine! So, what is the difference between refugees and nationals? What is the difference between refugees and immigrants? When you are a "national", you are responsible for this country, you have sovereignty over this country, and the real national is not the national in the passport, but the national in the heart!  Often Christians will say: We are the children of the kingdom of heaven! But why do we say: We are the children of the kingdom of heaven? Do you have a passport to heaven? Does heaven have your share?  Why do you make people think that you are a citizen of heaven and not a messenger from hell? The people of the kingdom of heaven must have their hearts toward the kingdom of heaven! If you just tell people with your mouth: you are a citizen of the kingdom of heaven, but your actions are from hell, no one will believe that you are a citizen of the kingdom of heaven! And when there was a disaster in Israel, Elimelech first ran away and chose to be a refugee! That's why Jews have been in exile for thousands of years! Jews always chose their own smarter ways.

What is the difference between nationals and refugees? Citizens have to solve the problems encountered by the country, and refugees are to flee abroad and become second-class people! When you choose to run away, you should know that you have given up your sovereignty over this country!  Jews have been the same for thousands of years - run away! Escape ~ has become their self-smart way of survival! And Christians have also been choosing to run away. Christians never want to defend the sovereignty of the kingdom of heaven. They just want to compromise the world and find a living space for a pseudo-Christian in this corner of the world! It is because Christians are gradually compromising, and we see not the hope of heaven, but the spread of hell! What the United States must face now is not the refugees problems, but the problems of citizens treat as refugees! Why do citizens become refugees?

We have the good conditions, we will all choose to immigrate! Why would you want to immigrate?  I want to immigrate because the country is not good! Immigrants and refugees are indeed second-class people! Because you gave up yourselves to be your own masters, and you chose to run away~ to survive! If we don't solve America's problems, we are American refugees because everything in this country is none of your business! And all the refugees hear clearly: you are the masters of the your countries, and of course your government wants those of you who oppose it to become refugees, because you leave your countries, they can control your countries indiscriminately methods! Refugees are not the best option in life, being a refugee is the stupidest option in life! Why did Naomi return to Israel later?

Because, Naomi believes in God! So, Naomi understood that she could not see the future on the land of Moab, so even if she felt that God was attacking her, she still wanted to go back to the land of Israel! This is the sense of belonging in life! Elimelech could not see the future in Israel because of the famine, so he left Israel and went to Moab! And because Naomi couldn't see the future in Moab, she brought her daughter-in-law Ruth back to Israel! Abraham left his own country because he saw the promise of God. Therefore, what people see is always the short-term benefits, and people only live a few decades, how long can they see? Orpah, the same daughter-in-law as Ruth, chose to stay in Moab to remarry, so her blessing was not as great as Ruth!

From Elimelech, Naomi and Ruth and Orpah, we understand one thing - God's grace and blessings are more important than our judgment and perspective! In the future, we all need to face different choices - choose to be citizens? Or be refugees? Choose to be a citizen of the kingdom of heaven? Or be a messenger of hell? Americans we have to face ~ we are nationals? Or refugees? Citizens have sovereignty and influence over this country! Or do we continue to compromise and continue to live our lives as refugees? The question we should face up to is: who turned refugees into nationals? Who treats citizens as refugees? If the problem is not solved, even if a 5-floors high border wall is built, there will still have a lot of refugees in the United States, because the nationals have been regarded as refugees, and the refugees are exercising the rights of citizens! The refugees will change America becomes refugees America. We are not no longer Americans! (The number of confirmed cases in New York continues to decline, and of course the number of deaths is still rising. This is an inevitable process. The revolution has not yet succeeded. Brothers and sisters, we must continue to defeat the Covid virus! When we get the virus out, we are going to deal with the big tumor and the big virus in New York.)
